Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES took over part of the building at Silver Hill Technology Park for its Pathways In Technology Program.  (Early College High School) W-FLEC Tech seeks to redefine secondary education with a curriculum that centers on project-based learning that focuses on skills in three career clusters — Information Technology, Instrumentation and Control Technologies, and Mechanical Technology. Through the program, selected students can earn one of three different associate’s degrees at no cost to their families and will be considered for jobs with participating companies when they graduate.

IEC Electronics is moving to Silver Hill Technology Park and expanding, eventually adding over 350 jobs!

Whispering Winds Campground at 2 Country Club Drive has expanded their camping capacity and also opened a Pub and Party Room called "Newark Kountry Club" which is open to the public.  Click here for more information.  

The Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for Adecco to welcome them to their new location at 833 West Union Street!

With the help of an Erie Canalway grant, the Village of Newark, Newark Central School District, and Mural Mania worked together to create additional murals along Newark's canal corridor. Students worked in a day camp setting over the summer to create this museum without walls.

Grind On Coffee Company will soon be coming to 212 South Main Street!

2018 Highlights:

Crosstown Custom Homes built another single family house at 467 Nathaniel Way!

White Paw Books & Curiosities, 604 South Main Street, focuses on bringing fun to Newark and being a premier destination for new & used books, games and handmade local art. Aside from books, the shop offers community events including book clubs, Magic the Gathering tournaments, open music jam sessions, board and card game leagues. 

Work on the new street of shops by ARC Wayne is progressing!

Jackson Hewitt Tax Services opened in the plaza at 6768 Route 31 East!

The Corner Tavern, 101 West Union Street, has reopened under new Management!
