Educational Facilities

Educational facilities within the Village range from Head Start and preschool programs to the Newark Public School system (which has classes from kindergarten through grade 12) to Finger Lakes Community College.

Head Start is a government sponsored preschool program aimed at helping qualified children to prepare for general education.  Other private preschool organizations also exist within the Village whose aim is to provide day care while preparing children for elementary school.

Newark is proud of its public school system which is highly rated within the State.  It offers an excellent education, as well as, many complimentary areas of focus such as art, music, and sports.  For more details on the Newark Public School System, please visit the Newark Central School District website.

Roosevelt Children's Center provides quality program services for special needs children and the Wayne ARC offers services to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families are also located within the village.

The Finger Lakes Community College has a satellite campus in Newark which offers a large selection of courses towards a degree or for personal enjoyment. Several major colleges or universities can be reached within an easy commute which enhances the availability of adult education for local residents.
