The Department of Public Works owns and maintains two (2) cemeteries. The Newark Cemetery (located between North Main Street and Murray Street) has a small chapel and mausoleum on the premises. The East Newark Cemetery is located on Vienna Street and adjacent to East Maple Avenue.
The department performs interments year round and offers burial lots for purchase.
There is an additional charge for weekends and holidays.
