The Alex Eligh Community Center has been serving the Newark community and surrounding area since 1941. The non-profit agency operates out of a village owned building located on East Avenue. The building has office space, game room, gym, concessions, and a public meeting room. Programs are designed to compliment a wide range of ages from pre-school children to senior citizens.
The Community Center also sponsors an Annual Christmas Party, plus other seasonal parties for children. The AECC staff further supervises the K&M DeMay Skate Park adjacent to the Center.
