Alex Eligh Community Center

  • The Community Center offers recreation and social programs that are available to all age groups from preschool youth to senior citizens. (East Ave.)

Newark Public Library

  • With the best interest of its residents and visitors in mind, the Newark Public Library offers many services such as the Teen Spot, Children's Library, wireless internet access, history room, reading room, and the Hoffman Clock Museum. (High St.)

The Village of Newark offers a diversity of restaurants, from fast food to fine dining.  We have donut shops, cafes, diners, bars, family restaurants and fine restaurants.  We offer restaurants with many types of food such as Italian, Mexican, Chinese, pizza, burgers, steak, seafood, etc.

 

We offer a large variety of stores and retail shops from large deparment stores to family-run shops for your shopping pleasure.  We have clothes stores, furniture stores, gift shops, drug stores, hardware stores, jewelry stores, gas stations, car dealerships, grocery stores and video stores, to name a few.  We have hair salons, massage therapists, tattoo parlors, drycleaners, convenience stores, lighting centers, appliance stores, rental centers and fitness centers. 

 

Shopping areas are located downtown, within walking distance from the Erie Canal, Wal-Mart Plaza, P & C and Arcadia Shopping Plaza, Wegman's Plaza, Cannery Row Mall and along Route 31 and Route 88.
